Job Description

About the role:

We have a fabulous opportunity to join our ANZ Retail team, in a Full Time capacity for an 6 month parental leave cover as an Business Manager, supporting Travel Retail.

Main role objectives:

  • Continue to build the travel retail strategy with a focus on sales orientation, customer experience, operational excellence, team development and partnering with counters to achieve profitability.
  • Continue to manage the business of assigned travel retail zones including sell-out & sell-in budget, P&L, retail plan, its field sales force and the commercial relationship with all retailers and partners. 
  • Continue to develop the distribution within the zone, maximize the sales plan, brand market shares and achieve sales target.
  • Review current trends, roll out the travel retail strategy to drive the business and channel profitability in collaboration with Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the business of assigned zone and achieve the sales and profitability target of travel retail channel.
  • Roll out the brand strategy in collaboration with Travel Retail marketing, Training and Global.
  • Work with the Marketing Team to implement and execute the marketing strategy across accounts and countries and ensure brand presentation consistency.
  • Ensure POS productivity via regular store visits and on counter coaching and feedback with store operation management and buyers and collaborate with Retail Managers in driving sales.
  • Support travel retail Partners people processes including recruitment, remuneration and incentives, talent management, succession planning and performance management.
  • Complete regular reporting on KPIs, with detailed analysis including competitive market trends and action plans moving forward.  

Desired Skills and Experience

About you:

Knowledge & Skills

  • 3 years' experience in Travel Retail
  • Sales driven, result-oriented, strong commercial mindset and entrepreneur spirit in achieving sales target.
  • Passionate, initiative, dynamic, able to work independently.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to develop good relationship with TR Retailers/Partners.
  • Strong analytical skills, good numerical sense and reporting skills, and high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership, people and coaching skills to BA and able to inspire and develop a team of BA across multiple TR operators.
  • Team player and at ease within multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability in dealing with and briefing Designers, VM, Contractors and Suppliers.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English across all levels of the business.
  • Nice to have Beauty industry background
  • Good command of Excel; and Microsoft Office.
