Job Description

About the Role:
The new Maintenance Technician will join an existing team of four, who are focused on delivering continuous improvement across our Mount Barker site.

  • Located in Mt Barker,  in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia
  • Afternoon Shift role, supporting a 2-shift operation, Monday to Friday (start time negotiable between 12 pm and 2 pm)
  • Flexible work arrangements 
  • Reports to our Reliability and Continuous Improvement Manager

The role of Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that equipment and facilities are maintained in optimal condition to support high reliability levels and efficient performance. The Maintenance Technician provides technical support to the production area and site facilities and buildings. 

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this key role you will have:

  • Self-motivation and be able to act independently
  • Understanding of and compliance with GMP requirements
  • Demonstrated technical experience with pneumatics, general trade skills 
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret technical drawings 
  • Familiarity with production and packaging equipment
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude with experience of a production and packaging environment (preferably FMCG)
  • Exceptional fault-finding skills
  • Able to multitask with the ability to work on multiple jobs at once

Desirable Skills:

  • A Trade Certificate (fitter, welding and/or machining) or demonstrated capability will be highly regarded
  • Other trades backgrounds are welcome to apply
  • Good computer skills eg Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), with the ability and willingness to learn new systems
