Job Description

About the role:

We have a fabulous opportunity to join our ANZ Sales team as a full time Business Manager – Travel Retail & National Accounts. This role is hybrid and can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney.

The Business Manager (Travel Retail & National Accounts) will be accountable to maintain the current business strategy & key objectives within our Travel Retail and Department Store channels and achieving budgeted sales in line with the ANZ Sales and Marketing Strategy.

This role will consistently deliver over budget performance and achieve KPI’s through educating businesses partners and their team members around Jurlique Brand, Products, Customer Service, Sales Techniques, Visual Merchandising and Marketing Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & KPI Delivery:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets, including profitability and productivity.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting for NPD and core lines, and proactive inventory and assortment management in close collaboration with supply chain and Demand planning
  • Ensure staff are aware of and meet monthly, weekly sales targets.
  • Stay agile to react to retail and competitor trends and maximise opportunities across retailers, consistently delivering plans to maintain

 

Building Retailer Partnerships & Engagement:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels within your designated accounts including Buying/Trading, Merchandising, Marketing, and Online to ensure Jurlique brand achieves maximum voice, visibility and exposure
  • Conduct successful commercial negotiations on terms, pricing, distribution, space and location, in-store visibility, and support with Buying, and Merchandising teams
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of retail context, category and individual store performance to identify retail opportunities and strategic needs
  • Represent the Jurlique Values to the highest standard, towards the Company, Distributors, Suppliers and Customers at all times.
  • Implement Client Retention Strategies by delivering fast support, investing in the education of their employees, personalising interactions, collecting regular feedback and looking for new ways to provide ongoing support.

 

Store Plan – Commercial Excellence

  • Lead and grow Facial Eventing, Masterclasses, and where applicable Centre Eventing, cross-promotions to achieve brand awareness, F1 recruitment and sales growth
  • Negotiate labour arrangements to maximise opportunities and growth to maximise productivity
  • Oversee and provide guidance for product pricing and stock management for all channels, including the management of returns and adhering to retailer specific procedures
  • Manage wage reports and benchmark productivity in-store in alignment with retail partners;
  • Manage instore visual merchandising and compliance with VM guidelines and required timeframes.
  • Monitor and report to Buying Teams regularly on stock movements and promotional material, so ideal stock levels are maintained;
  • Negotiate space and locations and liaise with stakeholders to achieve best location and visibility for Jurlique within Jurlique CAPEX budgets

 

Leadership & Communication:

  • Recruit, induct, train and communicate with staff, both Jurlique funded and Generic Staff, to maximise performance and sales results.
  • Anticipate and predict challenges for upcoming projects and find ways to manage it that are tailored to each retailer.
  • Manage all rosters and approve quotes/invoices for agency staff in store; Gaining commitment for 50% support from external partners where possible.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you:

Knowledge & Skills

  • 5+ years' experience as a National Account Manager ideally within beauty, luxury, fashion or Travel Retail environment.
  • Highly numerate, target-driven, commercially savvy and keen to find solutions to challenges
  • Results-oriented and proactively solution-driven with excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Proven experience in negotiating and excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Appetite for learning and development recognising the pace of change we are undergoing and being a role model across all teams
  • Ability to provide a macro-level view and understanding, form strategies and quantify business impact
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal & external partners;
  • Ability to manage and engage all stakeholders in a culturally sensitive way;
  • An Entrepreneurial Spirit with a passion to drive and maintain strong commercial acumen;
  • Ability to coach, influence, lead and develop team members;
  • Regular interstate travel required.
