Job Description

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Global Brand Marketing team as a full time Global Promotions Specialist. This role is hybrid based in our Sydney Office 3 days per week with 2 days from home.

The Global Promotions Specialist is responsible for global promotional activities including Limited Edition products, product sets, collections, seasonal and sales events to drive sales results, engagement, and brand awareness.  From strategy and ‘big idea’ through to production you will develop and deliver the promotional activities as set out in the global promotions plan, working in co-ordination with internal teams.  The Global Promotions Specialist will work in collaboration with markets and ecommerce to ensure the promotions are fit for purpose aimed at all markets where possible.

 

Areas of Responsibilities:

You would be responsible for the execution of promotional marketing plans, driving the development of seasonal promotions and sales events, limited editions, accessories and GWPS to add more diversity to the marketing calendar and excite and engage consumers globally. Manage the execution of packaging and GWP projects end to end, including briefing, timeline management, review of copywriting, layout/design and approval process with stakeholders.

 

Consumer & Industry Insights

  • Utilize sales data, consumer trends and insights to inform strategy for promotions and limited-edition products and GWPS.
  • Develop the creative briefs based on the strategy and with an understanding of the target audience and marketing requirements. 
  • Develop initial brief and organise brainstorm providing feedback & learnings from past promotions and limited editions as well as insights, trends and product data.

 

Development and Execution

  • Execute the timeline for each project to achieve milestones in the creation process to deliver limited editions, seasonal events and sales packs and GWP items.
  • Execution of the end-to-end development process, with clear communication to all stakeholders of deadlines, updates and requirements.
  • Oversee and critique creative to ensure the production of quality promotional products, sets and GWPS which will engage consumers, provide correct details, legible and communicate brand principles.  
  • Manage all elements of creation process including business cases for each gate, firm up demand and demand lock and seeking feedback from senior stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with product development, implementation manager, PPT, procurement and art studio to create artwork according to timeline, in accordance with sustainability and brand principles whilst also considering cost efficiencies
  • Seek feedback, collaborate and provide regular updates on promotions activities with local markets and senior stakeholders.
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities to improve and optimize promotions projects for greater agility and flexibility. 
  • Collate data/analysis after sales period for presentation to senior leadership team including feedback and learnings for future improvements – to be included in brief for next iteration.

 

Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with all marketing leaders to produce promotion activities fit for purpose and market 
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and execution, and communication flow to ensure they are informed at each milestone.
  • Own relationships for collaborations with artists, other brands and environmental charities
  • Work collaboratively with the product team, brand activation team, CSR manager and markets to understand all requirements and deliver promotions which are both engaging and fit for purpose.
  • Involve global artworker in briefing and keep open line of communication as work progresses including ensuring any artwork will be fit for purpose

 

Administration

  • Track cost associated with the development of promotional seasonal sets, limited editions and GWPS keeping to set budget.
  • Writing clear briefs for relevant stakeholders including data, insights and trends, along with post-campaign analysis
  • Write clear business cases, including strategy, up to date market analysis, sales data and consumers trends
  •  Regularly keep up to date on global market trends in health and beauty and overall consumer purchasing trends

Desired Skills and Experience

About you:

Knowledge & Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree is desirable in a related field.
  • 5+ years working experience in marketing and retail related field (preferably with a strong background in premium beauty)
  • Experience with trend analysis
  • Experience working in a Retail organisation and in a global support environment
  • Creative and innovative marketer, with an eye for detail and passion for bringing promotions to life for consumers.
  • Proactive and solution focused self-starter with the ability to show initiative and multi-task
  • Strategic thinking, result driven, can work under high pressure, and effectively manage workload independently.
  • Sound organisation, communication, administrative and interpersonal skills
  • Project management and negotiation experience
  • Leadership experience or qualities, ability to help organise and inspire others
  • Possess a passion for great causes and your work
  • Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to present and target/tailor communication to audience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, Smartsheets and Zoom
