Job Description

About the Role: 

Our Retail Store Managers take on the leadership responsibilities of an experienced team of Beauty Experts and Beauty Therapists. The right candidate will be an inspiring leader, focused on developing and coaching your team to succeed. You will have the ability to build a loyal customer base through the creation of in-store strategies and initiatives, whilst maintaining a memorable experience for all customers. 

This role will require availability from Tuesday - Saturday with 38 hours per week with the flexibility to change.

Responsibilities include:

Customer Service:

•           Establish client needs by asking open ended questions.

•           Aways inform the benefits of Jurlique products, treatments, heritage, story which is what makes Jurlique unique.

•           Find solutions to the customer’s needs including comprehensive treatment planning.

•           Consult professionally in a conversational and informative way.

•           Close the sale and link add-ons genuinely, by supporting “what’s in it for me”.

•           Introduce customers to the Jurlique Insiders program.

•           Handle point of sale transactions accurately, double checking the product selection and customer details.

•           Manage appointment scheduling effectively, taking down the right information on the correct dates and times requested and making suggestions where it doesn’t work with the customer’s original request.

•           Continuously delivering the signature Jurlique standard of service bringing a wow experience to all customers.

Sales & Financial Targets:

•           Ensure you know the stores daily, weekly and monthly Sales Target and strive to meet your sales budgets, targeted products and ensure that you and your team are competent in cross category and link-selling.

•           Follow Jurlique sales protocols to meet all KPI benchmarks 

•           Actively promote all in store promotions according to campaign objectives.

•           Support the team by coaching them to achieve KPIs with exceptional customer service. 

•           Actively build the customer database for the store and drive in-store financial coaching.

•           Seek out opportunities to drive retail performance and business acumen by monitoring competitor activity and communicate opportunities for the brand to State Retail & Education Manager.

•           Provide daily and weekly sales reporting to the State Retail & Education Manager.

 

Education:

•           Maintain a high level of product knowledge on our existing and new product line up

•           Follow Education protocol and guidelines when offering a Jurlique Signature Misting and Jurlique Hand Ritual;

•           Remain up to date with Education and Training Modules on our online learning platform.

•           Coach, develop and educate the in-store team to maintain a high standard of product knowledge at all times.

•           Coach and develop all team members to ensure they are confident in selling product features, benefits and closing the sale with the customer.

•           Schedule regular 1:1 coaching discussion with team members to develop individual performance plans using the feedback and coaching form.

•           Drive and monitor the successful completion of Education modules.

 

Teamwork and People Leadership:

•           Motivate, coach & develop the team to implement a sales performance culture developing both technical and behavioural skills in line with Jurlique standards and expectations.

•           Develop team succession plans and drive a high performing team culture that's committed to providing outstanding sales & service.

•           Lead the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process including: interviewing, training and onboarding for all new team members.

•           Mentor, coach and lead team members through the Jurlique performance review process.

•           Embody the Jurlique Mindsets & Behaviours to inspire and develop all in-store team members.

•           Demonstrate exemplary communication skills to all team members across the business.

 

Store Administration:

•           Stock maintenance including unpacking, re-stocking, rotating and displaying Jurlique stock

•           Follow all Operations procedures, processes & guidelines; (POS, Closing / Opening etc.)

•           Assist in the Booking of Spa appointments and ensure the team complete this accurately (using Timely System).

•           Follow all VM standards and brand guidelines which include cleaning, grooming, planograms and complete relevant checklists. 

•           As required complete all Jurlique compliance training and follow Jurlique Policies and Procedures

•           Oversee all store operational activities by scheduling and assigning employees work tasks (retail & therapy) and following up on results and outcomes.

•           Manage in-store rostering to ensure the store is running at optimal potential by analysing rosters and linking to store productivity, KPIs and sales performance.

•           Manage the fortnightly Payroll process for the team, ensuring all time sheets are accurate and submission is without errors for processing.

•           Oversee the store POS system and maintain accurate accounting practices ensuring EFTPOS is reconciled and all cash is reconciled and banked daily.

•           Manage and oversee successful outcomes with customer complaints and in-store customer queries.

•           Oversee stock and inventory control for the store, including the management of returns and adhering to Jurlique specific procedures.

•           Ensure staff adhere to all Jurlique policies and procedures such as treatment protocols, client file cards, opening and closing, point of sale, claims and returns and stock take.

•           Provide and maintain a safe environment that is without risk to the health & wellbeing of all team members.

•           All other reasonable duties and responsibilities set by the State Retail & Education Manager.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

Your skills and experience:

  • Certificate IV in Retail Management, or proven experience as a Store Manager successfully leading a high performing team.
  • Strategic thinker with strong financial & business acumen and demonstrated experience in achieving financial targets and goals.
  • Strong ability to drive your team to deliver on store KPI's and see continual growth of sales targets. 
  • Operational mindset and experience in stock control, visual merchandising and overseeing daily in-store operations.
  • A strong understanding of team rostering and wage analysis.
  • Be excited by coaching and developing your team to achieve sales and education goals.
  • Have a customer first mindset to keep the Jurlique values and culture aligned.
