About the Role
Are you a commercially driven marketer with a passion for retail, product performance, and bringing campaigns to life in-store? We’re looking for a Trade Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team in a dynamic hybrid role.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving sales performance and brand visibility across all retail partners and channels. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teams, you’ll lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of trade marketing initiatives—from promotional campaigns and in-store activations to pricing strategy and product forecasting.
This is a highly collaborative and data-driven role that plays a key part in connecting brand strategy with commercial outcomes, ensuring strong sell-through and impactful customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Marketing & Channel Management
Develop and execute promotional plans, including GWPs and tactical campaigns, to meet commercial targets across all retailers and channels
Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to develop channel and door growth strategies
Manage product ranging, assortment, and inventory optimisation to maximise sell-through
Lead retailer activations including co-op campaigns, trade events, and exclusivity plans
Oversee promotional execution in-store, including briefing VM teams and managing key events (e.g. major campaigns, hotspot activations)
Manage clearance and outlet channel strategies, including ranging, pricing, and promotions
Retail Partner Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners to maximise collaboration and performance
Lead planning and preparation for retailer strategy meetings, including seasonal planning presentations
Complete retailer templates and submissions to support product launches and promotional plans
Pricing & Commercial Management
Develop pricing strategies aligned to product guidelines and market positioning
Conduct competitor pricing analysis and market benchmarking
Manage pricing updates and price change processes across retail partners
Collaborate with Finance and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing execution and system updates
Forecasting & Product Marketing
Lead product forecasting across channels in collaboration with Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing teams
Manage product listings, samples, testers, and collateral forecasting within budget
Monitor and manage inventory including excess, obsolete, and short-dated stock
Analyse sell-through performance for campaigns, promotions, and NPD launches
Provide insights and recommendations to drive product growth and optimise future strategies
Financial Management & Insights
Manage trade marketing budgets, including tracking spend and ensuring accountability
Own and report on trade KPIs including sell-through, promotional ROI, retailer margins, and category growth
Contribute trade marketing plans and performance insights to weekly reporting
Leverage internal and external data to identify trends and growth opportunities
Continuously evaluate campaign performance and optimise future plans
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
We’re looking for a commercially savvy and analytical marketer who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You will bring:
3–5 years’ experience in Trade Marketing, Category, or Brand/Product Management
Proven experience in retail, FMCG, beauty, or consumer brands
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, or a related field
Strong analytical capability, with high proficiency in Excel and data analysis
Experience in product launches, forecasting, and promotional planning
Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
A proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong commercial acumen and a results-driven approach
